A day of tears...not really

Last Thursday was our last day of Mother's Day Out for the year. And Mommy wanted to cry!!

But this was Ryleigh's face instead...sheer joy. All she knew was that it was "time for school," and she was about to go spend the day with her teachers and her friends.
I have been so blessed by MDO, I cannot even tell you. Not only has it given me some time to work or go into work if needed, it has given me some time away from my girl.

And that has done wonders. She has done wonders since having some time socializing, and I am such a better Mom when I have had a break. Honestly, my house is so quiet on MDO days, that I truly miss the noise! And I'm excited and ready to pick her up. What a joy!

BUT, now that my one day a week is gone for the summer, I was sad. And Ryleigh might not know it now, but she will be sad too. She has already asked to go back to school twice since Thursday and its only Monday! Her teacher was teary when I picked her up Thursday, saying it was so hard saying goodbye to "her babies." She has loved those kids and cared for them, and they love her too!

All in all, I'm so thankful I finally agreed to sign-up for MDO. If you have a little one and have this option available, you should do it. One day a week was perfect (though there were times I wished I had signed-up for two, if you know what I mean...) It's wonderful for all involved.

I'm counting down the days until August!! :)
