Things I love

There are a lot of things to love about life with Ryleigh, many of which I know I will miss as she gets older.

• I love the way her eyes light up when she smiles.
• I love when she gets super excited, and she starts kicking both legs and flapping her arms all at the same time.
• I love when she is sleeping and her pacifier falls out; I reach over to gently push it back in, and she instinctively covers my hand with both of her little hands as if she is making sure I dont leave her.
• I love when we get up for her early morning feeding (around 5am), she is still pretty out-of-it, and typically just wants to cuddle up under my chin.
• I love whenever she feels my hand anywhere near her hand, she starts grabbing for my fingers and will not let go. She has such a strong grip for such a little girl.
• I love propping her up on my hip, and she will wrap her hand around the "fatty" part of my arm-- she is the only one who can get away with this!
• I love how she watches me so intently sometimes, I can just imagine the "mental notes" she is taking in her little head.
• I love the little 'gulping' sounds she makes as I feed her.
• I love the way I can calm her down when no one else can. :)
• I love when she starts 'talking' to me and actually mimics the sounds I make.
• I love the pitiful sound of her "needing attention" cries; especially when she sticks out the pouty lip.
• I love the overwhelmed sigh and smile she gives when you blow in her face.
• I love how she loves her bath time and then the lotion massage afterwards- such a happy baby!
• I love how she somehow manages to curl all the way to the top corner of her bed at night, as if the bumper against her head and her side provide extra security.
• I love how she loves to look at light. She wakes up looking at the window, and throughout the day always manages to find the window and the light.
• I love her long eye lashes when she is wet from the bath.
• I love how she will smile at herself in the mirror, but when I notice, she suddenly turns "shy" and tucks her head into my chest.
• I love how she constantly sticks out her tongue and licks everything that comes remotely close to her lips.
• I love all her little petite features...and those long, skinny legs and toes!

I love this time with her, and I dont want to forget a single thing!
