Even more positive...

This morning when I walked in the office to my desk, there was a beautiful plant with small yellow flowers sitting there with a card. Joanne (my new teammate) had given it to me with a very nice thank you note for "all my help." It really made me feel good! She certainly did not have to do that, after all, helping her is my job, but it was nice to know she appreciates it.

After spending a little more time with her over the past few days, I think she is going to work out just fine. She is starting to show more interest and gets excited when something works correctly. The past few days she has spent the majority of the time on our client, and has begun asking many more questions. Perhaps she just needed to finish wrapping up her other work to truly transition to this team. I had further confirmation today when we went to get her badged, she said, "I hope they actually let me stay on this team and do not pull me off this time! It will be so nice to stay on one client for awhile." I agree! I hope that she does not get pulled off, and I hope she genuinely wants to stay and become 100% part of this team.

I feel much better today. :)
